Solid Bleached Sulfate (SBS) Paperboard
Solid bleached sulfate (SBS, also spelled sulphate) is a virgin-fiber paperboard with a solid white core and a clay-coated surface. It prints sharply, and it cuts, creases, hot-foil stamps and embosses cleanly. It's used for folding cartons, retail and consumer packaging, food packaging, signage and displays, and greeting cards.
Specs: C1S or C2S, 12pt–24pt (.012 - .024 caliper), 88 brightness.
Fully recyclable, food-contact approved, and cost-effective relative to comparable premium boards.
SBS can be Poly Coated : Polyguard
SBS vs. CCNB: SBS is white all the way through and made from virgin fiber.
